CloudBees Survey Surfaces Increase in Production Issues Attributable to AI

CloudBees surveyed 213 IT leaders and found 93% report AI-driven productivity gains while 81% have seen an increase in production issues tied to AI-generated code. The survey says 64% have widely adopted or fully integrated AI into engineering workflows, even as only 31% can correlate AI spending with business outcomes. CloudBees launched a proprietary CARE Index to benchmark AI governance maturity across six dimensions and help organizations track, attribute, and forecast AI-driven costs against productivity. Respondents also report rising costs—67% saw significant code volume growth and 54% saw higher CI/CD infrastructure spend—while few have token limits (27%) or automated controls (18%).
