Persistent Systems and IIM Ahmedabad introduced the AI Value Compass, a strategic decision framework to help enterprises prioritize, govern, measure, and scale AI investments. The framework assesses initiatives across five vectors: business alignment, people readiness, operational integration, data preparedness, and risk and governance. Persistent will use the framework in client engagements and continue refining it through applied research and industry–academia collaboration. The study highlights that organizational and operational gaps, not technology, are the main barriers to scaling AI, and the Compass aims to shift companies from fragmented pilots to outcome-led, scalable AI programs.
