Cisco introduces security innovations to support enterprise AI agent adoption

Cisco unveiled a set of security innovations at RSA Conference 2026 to help enterprises deploy AI agents at scale. The company extended Zero Trust and Duo IAM to establish agent identities, enforce fine-grained, time-bound access, and provide visibility and accountability for agent actions. Cisco launched Cisco AI Defense: Explorer Edition for red-teaming and hardening models and introduced DefenseClaw, a secure agent framework that integrates scanning, sandboxing, and inventory tools. Cisco also emphasized machine-speed detection and response by evolving SOC workflows with embedded AI capabilities across its security portfolio, including Splunk.
