Turning a 2-Year Blocker into a Structured, AI-Assisted Migration

An engineering team built CaseFoundry to convert 20 years of fragmented Git, Jira, test, and documentation history into a structured, AI-accessible knowledge base to drive legacy application migrations. They exposed that knowledge via the Model Context Protocol so AI coding assistants can retrieve linked diagnostic cases and migration patterns in real time. Using this Memory-First approach, the team guided and executed an end-to-end upgrade of a 13-year-old ZK Java app—upgrading framework and dependencies, migrating custom widgets, and generating 47 test files (384 tests).
