Visualizing Post-Stroke Recurrence Risk from “Daily Life Data”

MEDIROM MOTHER Labs and MEDIROM Rehab Solutions jointly tested the MOTHER Bracelet®, a battery-free wearable, to visualize stroke recurrence risk by combining continuous biometric data with patient daily logs. They monitored one post-stroke patient for three weeks, extracting resting heart-rate anomalies and correlating spikes with specific daily activities and emotional stressors. The analysis and follow-up interviews changed the participant's awareness of lifestyle management and suggested the approach could support clinicians in recurrence-prevention care. MEDIROM plans to expand use cases for individuals and corporate health programs and continue developing data-driven health management services.
