Kenya Targets North African Startups With Konza Innovation Forum
Summary
The Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) is hosting IPDAYS Nairobi x Silicon Savannah Startup Fair 2026 to position Kenya as a gateway for Tunisian and Egyptian startups entering Sub-Saharan Africa. The event brings six Tunisian startups together with more than 60 Kenyan ventures and gathers investors, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers for matchmaking, investor pitches, policy briefings, and capacity-building workshops. KoTDA and partners RedStart Tunisie and Seketak signed a collaboration to enable startup exchanges, soft-landing, joint acceleration, and skills development to formalize North–South startup mobility. The forum aligns with AfCFTA objectives and follows Kenya’s passage of the Technopolis Bill, which aims to strengthen the legal and governance framework for technopolis development under Vision 2030.
