Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain signals exit from esports and adtech verticals

Nazara Technologies plans to divest its esports (NODWIN Gaming and related brands) and adtech (majority stake in Datawrkz) businesses to sharpen focus on core gaming categories such as PC and console gaming. CEO Nitish Mittersain said the company is building centres of excellence in user acquisition, data analytics, AI, growth, and product to support its gaming IPs and future acquisitions. Nazara halted a planned minority investment in Moonshine/PokerBaazi last year after India banned real-money gaming under new regulation. Financially, Nazara’s Q4 FY26 operating revenue fell to Rs 398 crore from Rs 520 crore a year earlier, while full-year revenue rose 12.6% to Rs 1,829 crore and profit increased 60.8% to Rs 82 crore.
