Sedex Announces Investment
Summary
Sedex has entered into a minority investment with LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, to accelerate its new strategy and global organic growth. The funding will support further development of the Sedex platform, tools and professional services and fuel international expansion to increase supply-chain transparency and ESG capabilities. LDC will back the existing management team and place Joe Tager, Toby Rougier and David Murray on Sedex’s board as non-executive directors, while Steven Esom remains chair. Sedex will also establish a Special Purpose Trust to preserve its founding purpose of promoting responsible business practices in supply chains.
