Nexon expands MapleStory Universe beyond gaming

Nexon’s blockchain arm Nexpace is rolling out MSU 2.0 to transform the MapleStory IP into a creator-driven, on-chain economy. The expansion centers on a new tech stack called VIBE IP that gives builders API access to gameplay and behavioral data and establishes an on-chain builder economy on the Henesys chain built on Avalanche. Nexpace reports more than 150 million cumulative on-chain transactions, 3.82 million registered accounts, and that MSU accounted for 23.3% of Avalanche activity over its first year. The company says the effort turns IP into programmable commerce and infrastructure for creation, monetization, and participation.
