Roberts Space Industries is rolling out Alpha 4.8 for Star Citizen, which performs a large in-game economy reset to stabilize long-term economic balance. The reset removes earned aUEC balances, in-game resources, items, and vehicles purchased with aUEC, while preserving account-bound ships, blueprints, and non-aUEC vehicles. The studio also added protections against exploits and duplication bugs that previously affected the economy. Alpha 4.8 further adds new content, including the Tactical Strike Group PvE mode and the returning DefenseCon event with a Free-Fly for testing ships.
