Vectorworks, part of the Nemetschek Group, is acquiring ComputerWorks GmbH and the CAD division of ComputerWorks AG and is establishing new corporate offices in Germany and Switzerland. ComputerWorks in Germany will be renamed Vectorworks Germany GmbH and the Swiss CAD division will become Vectorworks Switzerland AG, with the transaction expected to complete on May 4. Vectorworks says the integration will combine local market expertise, localization, training, and technical support with global product development to accelerate innovation and better reflect regional workflows. The new offices are in Lörrach, Germany and Basel, Switzerland, while ComputerWorks AG will continue its consumer electronics and SME software operations in Münchenstein.
