Trafikverket Advances Rail Communications with Unified Planning Platform - ATDI

▤ Summary

ATDI deployed its HTZ Communications RF planning platform for Trafikverket to provide a unified engineering environment for planning, modelling, and optimising railway radio networks. The platform supports FRMCS, GSM-R, VHF and radio line transmission systems, enabling Trafikverket to manage existing infrastructure and transition to next-generation rail communications. ATDI delivered high-resolution cartographic data (primarily LiDAR and building data, with OSM and AI filling gaps), integrated the solution with Trafikverket’s passporting system, calibrated predictive propagation models with client measurements, and provided training. The project was led by ATDI’s Polish engineering team as part of its Professional Services engagement.
