Metropolitan State University of Denver will deploy the Sassafras software-inventory agent on all university-owned Windows and macOS computers to replace LabStats and Microsoft SCCM. Sassafras will collect installed software names, editions, versions, device types, operating systems, and usage frequency to improve license compliance and reduce redundant purchases. The tool does not capture personal information such as keystrokes, emails, files, webcam access, or web browsing.
