OVHcloud buys Seald to boost end-to-end encryption

OVHcloud acquired Seald to integrate Seald's end-to-end encryption SDK into its product catalogue and strengthen its data security offerings. Seald's technology encrypts content on the sender device so only intended recipients can decrypt it, following a zero-knowledge approach and holding a CSPN security visa from ANSSI. OVHcloud plans to combine the SDK with its existing security products (Secret Manager, KMS, HSM) to cover storage, processing, and endpoints and address high-sensitivity business and public sector use cases. The company framed the deal as part of its trusted cloud and regulatory compliance strategy and did not disclose financial terms.
