Knorr-Bremse completes acquisition of Duagon Group
Summary
Knorr-Bremse completed the acquisition of the Duagon Group for EUR 500 million. Duagon supplies electronic, hardware, and software solutions for the railway industry, and the deal adds about 1,000 electronics and software specialists to Knorr-Bremse. Knorr-Bremse expects Duagon to sustain strong growth (≈15% CAGR 2022–2025), deliver operating EBIT around 16% in 2026 (excluding integration costs), and generate EUR 5–10 million of EBIT synergies from 2028. The Duagon business will join Knorr-Bremse's Rail Division under its BOOST strategy, expanding its communication, control, and signaling capabilities and producing combined Selectron and Duagon revenues of roughly EUR 250 million annually.
