Cellular Origins Secures £1M Innovate UK Grant for Automated CGT Manufacturing Platform - PharmaSource

Cellular Origins, CGT Catapult, and Resolution Therapeutics have secured a £1 million Innovate UK Smart Grant to develop a fully automated cell and gene therapy manufacturing platform. The 20-month project started on 1 July 2025 and will install the Constellation robotic system at CGT Catapult’s Stevenage site. The partners want to remove manual bottlenecks that limit CGT production and patient access. The platform will combine hardware, software, bioreactors, and electronic batch records in a GMP-mirroring testbed before real-world deployment.
