Boeing has launched Virtual Airplane Procedures Trainer, a new training platform for pilots and flight training teams. The product uses Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Flight Simulator to deliver immersive, customizable practice outside traditional training settings. Boeing says the software will improve flexibility, readiness, and safety for commercial aviation training. The first application in the Virtual Airplane suite works on computers and iPad devices for the Boeing 737 MAX, with more aircraft support planned.
