Wärtsilä debuts GEMS Pulse, a new software solution to enhance revenue for BESS customers through cell-to-fleet data analytics

Wärtsilä has launched GEMS Pulse, a predictive analytics software product for battery energy storage customers. The platform turns high-volume battery and operational data into actionable insights that improve state-of-charge accuracy, capacity use, uptime, and revenue. It also helps operators simulate dispatch strategies, detect anomalies early, and reduce downtime and operating costs. Wärtsilä says the software is already used internally and has optimized more than 9 GWh of battery capacity across its portfolio. The release positions Wärtsilä Energy Storage as a software-enabled provider in the utility-scale renewable energy market.
