New Ultra-Low Power MCU with Advanced Security and Targeted Peripheral Set Ideal for Metering and Other Applications

Renesas introduced the RA4C1 microcontroller group for battery-powered and security-sensitive embedded applications. The new MCUs combine ultra-low power consumption, advanced security features, communication interfaces, and segment LCD support. Renesas says the devices fit metering, smart lock, thermostat, and industrial control use cases, and it also ships an evaluation board and software package for development. The launch includes the Flexible Software Package to speed integration and migration for customers building connected devices.
