EIFO and the Novo Nordisk Foundation are investing 80 million to create QuNorth and bring the world’s most powerful commercially available quantum computer to Denmark. The system, named Magne, will be delivered by Microsoft and Atom Computing and will use logical qubits in a Level 2 quantum architecture. QuNorth will operate the machine from Copenhagen and give researchers and companies access for applications in materials science, chemistry, and other advanced use cases. The initiative aims to strengthen the Nordic quantum ecosystem, attract talent, and improve regional competitiveness in quantum technology.
