Outrider builds first-in-industry safety system for driverless yard operations

Outrider unveiled a new safety system for autonomous yard trucks used in logistics yards. TÜV SÜD reviewed the functional safety approach and found it aligned with its AV Conformity Framework requirements. Outrider plans to begin commissioning and deploying the latest-generation driverless yard trucks with select enterprise customers in the second half of 2025. The company is also taking orders for 2026 and 2027 deployments and sells the system as a subscription service with cloud management software, trailer tracking, and support.
