Nine Nordic SMEs selected to bring HealthTech innovations to Yorkshire and Humber

Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humbers Propel@YH Boot Camp, a five-day digital health accelerator programme, is delighted to welcome nine Nordic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the UK, who will bring innovative HealthTech solutions to the regions population.The Boot Camp builds on our successful UK-focused six month Propel@YH programme and seeks to bring the best health innovations from around the world into the UK, with the Yorkshire and Humber region being the first to make use of them. We are also keen that these businesses consider Yorkshire their home in the UK, bringing the region the benefits of investment and job creation that the programme secures.Innovations chosen for the 2024 Nordic Boot Camp included a test used to monitor disease activity in patients with Irritable Bowel Disease, a device that assists in the clinical evaluation and triage of suspected stroke and an innovation that assesses ADHD symptoms in children.The small to medium enterprises (SMEs) selected were:SMEs take part in a five-day programme of intensive support and masterclass content, provided by the expert partners, that gives innovators a crash course on the UK healthcare market. The cohort will have access to subject matter experts and the opportunity to directly engage with local NHS stakeholders as well as the wider HealthTech ecosystem in the Yorkshire and Humber region.The Boot Camp is delivered alongside the Propel@YH programme partners, who provide expert advice in key areas of the NHS and wider UK health system, including: Leeds Teaching Hospitals Innovation Pop Up will provide NHS insight and strategy, amongst other support.Dr Neville Young, Director of Enterprise and Innovation at Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber said:This is our second Nordic Boot Camp and were delighted to welcome this new Nordic cohort to the UK.The programme offers international innovators the opportunity to access the UK healthcare market and hopefully establish their base in Yorkshire and the Humber.
