labfolder Raises High Six-Figure Funding
Summary
The company intends to use the funds to enlarge the team from the current 6 employees to 15 by the end of 2014. Founded in 2012 by Max-Planck scientists Dr. Simon Bungers and Dr. Florian Hauer along with software architect Mathias Schäffner, labfolder provides a digital laboratory notebook that allows scientists to organize research, plan and record experiments digitally. It also provides intelligence and communication tools. labfolder’s beta version is online since February 2013 and free for individual scientists and small research groups. It is already used worldwide by more than 600 scientists.
