Healthtech start-up Daiser lands coveted place on Google accelerator programme

A Tyneside healthtech firm that uses a lego brick style approach to creating access to digital health services is one of only a handful of companies in the world to be selected for a top Google accelerator programme. Daiser, which has its roots in the UK and US and is Whitley Bay-registered, offers developers of digital health services the chance to plug their concepts into a platform on iOS, android and web. Co-founders Mike Trenell and US tech innovator Adam Wootton are now heading to the accelerator programme in Poland, joining others from 16 countries including Greece, Morocco and Nigeria. Noam Feinstein, senior start-up partner manager and campus lead at Google for Startups, added: “We’re excited to welcome Daiser to the Growth Academy: AI for Health. Google is proud to support their mission and connect them with other visionary companies who are redefining the future of health.” Participants in the three-month long accelerator will benefit from virtual and in-person sessions focused on AI best practices, product design, leadership, responsible innovation, and customer growth, with ongoing technical support from Google’s expert teams — even after the programme ends.
