According to a post on his blog, CEO Tristan Walker said that Walker & Company Brands, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a shaving solution for men with coarse and curly hair, raised $6.9m Series A round of financing.The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Upfront Ventures, Collaborative Fund, Daher Capital and Johnson + Partners.In conjunction with the funding, Jeff Jordan (Andreessen Horowitz) joined Walker & Company’s board of directors.The company intends to use the funds to scale in three key areas: – Education (Content); – Acceleration (Distribution and Fulfillment); and – Innovation (Research & Development).The products are clinically proven to reduce razor bumps and irritation by up to 50% within 4 weeks.
