Novac Raises €3.5M in Seed Funding
Summary
Novac, a Modena, Italy-based startup manufacturing supercapacitors for the energy, mobility, and industrial sectors, raised €3.5M in Seed funding. The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its technology. Led by CEO Matteo Bertocchi, Loris Bruzzi, Alessandro Fabbri e Aldo Girimonte, Novac develops new supercapacitors for sustainable energy storage systems, enabling a better energy storage and release. In 2021, the company was selected as one of the 8 startups to participate in the Motor Valley Accelerator program in Modena. Since 2023, Novac has been incubated by I3P, the Innovative Business Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, within the ESA BIC Turin incubation program, managed by I3P with the technological support of the Politecnico di Torino and the LINKS Foundation, in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).
