WebEngage secures funding from Capillary for a minority stake

Mumbai-based SaaS firm WebEngage has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from cloud solution provider Capillary for a minority stake. Avlesh Singh, CEO and co-founder of WebEngage told MediaNama that this partnership will enable the companies to offer multi channel advertising, marketing and consumer engagement solutions to both their clients. Founded by Aneesh Reddy and Krishna Mehra in 2008, Capillary Technologies provides cloud-based software solutions for retail marketers to manage and analyze customer data and insights for personalisation on various platforms. WebEngage on the other hand, builds online profiles for every user visiting a website or an app, and helps advertise through multiple channels like push notifications, in-app ads, web messages, text and email. “Through this (partnership), both existing and new clients of the firms will have a benefit of targeting the same customer visiting an offline retail store or an online e-commerce portal.
