Baltimore Museum of Industry to Launch Key Bridge Exhibition with $545,000 Grant from Baltimore Community Foundation

The grant from BCF will support deepened community engagement and public programming, exhibition research and design, and continued efforts to build and preserve the museums Key Bridge collection of oral histories, objects, archival materials, photographs, and artwork. "This exhibition builds upon BMIs "Echoes from the Key Bridge" oral history project, which BCF previously funded through a $25,000 grant in summer 2024. The recorded oral history interviews from "Echoes from the Key Bridge" have been transcribed and added to the BMIs permanent collection, ensuring their preservation for future generations. "The grant comes from BCFs , which has raised $16 million to provide financial relief and long-term support for individuals, small businesses, and communities affected by the bridge collapse. BCF amplifies donors philanthropy with strategic grants, impact investments, special initiatives, and advocacy to strengthen schools and neighborhoods.
