Vivistim, a vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) system, aims to help ischemic stroke survivors improve hand and arm function when paired with occupational or physical therapy. Paired VNS helps increase neuroplasticity, enabling stroke survivors to make gains with their hands and arms during activities of daily living.U.S. Venture Partners (USVP) led the financing round to support MicroTransponder and Vivistim. Two new investors Gilde Healthcare and Longitude Capital also joined.Weve built programs in 20% of Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Centers and 50% of Beckers 2024 100 Great Neuro and Spine Programs by presenting Vivistim as the evidence-based chronic stroke recovery solution thats been missing from the stroke continuum of care, said Richard Foust, MicroTransponder CEO.
