Acronis rolls out data protection software for SMBs

Data protection company Acronis this week announced software that backs up Microsoft Windows Small Business Server. Called Acronis True Image for Microsoft Small Business Server, the software lets IT managers in small and midsize businesses back up and restore physical and virtual servers. Acronis is aiming the software at small businesses that may not have dedicated IT resources. Acronis was founded in 2002 by Serguei Beloussov and Jack Zubarev, both now with virtualization company Parallels, which was acquired by SW-Soft. The company has raised $11 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners.
