We are looking forward to collaborating with Kiva on a more engaging, holistic approach to helping female founders overcome barriers to success and to scaling their social enterprises.Women-led social enterprises looking to scale face an added challenge: women-founded businesses receive only two percent of venture capital dollars in the U.S.Women-led social enterprises are driving solutions to global challenges from climate change to economic inequality, yet they face persistent barriers to funding, said Vishal George, CEO, Kiva. Through our partnership with Boundless Futures Foundation, were excited to expand access to capital and advance research to further demonstrate the transformative impact of these incredible entrepreneurs.The announcement to assist female founders dedicated to doing social good in their businesses is in celebration of International Womens Day on Saturday, March 8.Boundless Futures Foundation has awarded $685,000 in Her Village grants to nonprofits and EmpowHer grants to female company founders since it began in late 2023.Founded in September 2023, by Soon and McKeel Hagerty, Boundless Futures Foundation provides financial support and leadership resources to aspiring female entrepreneurs 22 years of age or older so they can have a boundless impact on society. The Foundation empowers women entrepreneurs in the United States by providing grant funding to individuals in the early stages of starting a business that solves a social issue and to mission-aligned nonprofits.
