"Were growing like a weed; weve got nearly seven million registered users and over 275 million flash cards," said Steve Wallman, the companys chairman. Wallman and Great Oaks Venture Capital were among the investors in the round. StudyBlue runs an online studying platform for high school and college students, but has users as diverse as an Iowa beer judging contest and a group of master sommeliers creating flashcards on its site, Wallman said. However, its management team operates the company out of San Francisco.
