Mission Mobile Medical Group Announces ARPA-H Award of Up to $26M to Expand Rural Mobile Healthcare

Greensboro, NC, (February 12, 2025) In a significant step toward addressing healthcare inequalities in rural America, Mission Mobile Medical Group has been awarded up to $26 million from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) to develop the next-generation mobile clinic under the Platform Accelerating Rural Access to Distributed & Integrated Medical Care (PARADIGM) program. Medical services will range from advanced imaging to laboratory testing and specialty care, all within a flexible and customizable EV-based system.With over 60 million Americans living in rural areas, many face increased mortality from heart disease, cancer, trauma, lung disease, and stroke due to a lack of access to essential health services.Only 12% of physicians practice in rural communities, said Travis LeFever, CEO of Mission Mobile Group. These multi-purpose CDP capsules will forge new developments in point-of-care diagnostics and be equipped with intelligent task guidance systems that seamlessly integrate with electronic health records (EHRs), enabling healthcare providers to offer real-time, interactive decision support.MARCUS is built on a rugged EV skateboard chassis, ensuring reliable operation in diverse terrains, from rural highways to mountainous areas.
