Semantics3 – eCommerce Data APIs Provider got $1.55M Bridge Funding

Two years back, Zillionize made seed round investment in Semantics3, an early age startup. We are glad to share that Semantics3 has got $1.55M recently in a bridge funding round from E-Merge, a Brussels based seed investor. The company will use the latest funding, which also saw participation from early-stage investor Zillionize, to expand its business team and ramp up sales efforts. “We are at break even, but we’re not profitable yet,” chief executive Varun Sivamani told CNBC. Conventional barcodes are unable to track products and prices in real time across the internet, which creates a conundrum for e-commerce retailers.
