First bottlings released by Tailored Spirits Co

Leith-based whisky company has released its first range of independent bottlings, named the Experimental Series. For the Croftengea Loch Lomond, also named Experiment 1: Axis, heavily peated single malt whisky was matured in a first-fill oloroso Montilla American oak cask. The Fettercairn Experiment 2: Buck was originally matured in inactive wood before a finish in a first-fill Ribera del Duero Spanish red wine cask. Founded by Tom Costello, Adam Harding, and Carl Johnstone, Tailored Spirits Co specialises in privately owned casks. The company won entrepreneurial competition Scottish Edge, through which it received \xa3100,000 funding.Harding said: We are beyond delighted to release our first-ever whisky range.
