Summary
This is a topic I am passionate about and cant agree more with .modern revenue tools that grow with the economy! I understand the affordability tension, but with no alternative fee option other than raising property taxes, DCs have to pay for growth infrastructure. We continue to take the burden of the ping pong game of development fee legislation, pulling us away from more productive work. I would welcome a financial system that allowed us to have different conversations about how we are funding services. If property taxes werent paying for social and health services, there would be an abundance of property tax that could be redeployed to reduce cost of housing and address our aging infrastructure.
