Grenergy secures $324 million financing for Oasis de Atacama battery project in Chile

The company has secured this financing for phase four of the project named Gabriela from international financial institutions BNP Paribas, Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Soci\xe9t\xe9 G\xe9n\xe9rale, Bank of Nova Scotia, and SMBC. The syndication of the first phase also included BofA, BBVA, and the Bank of China. In total, Grenergy has secured financial closures worth approximately $967 million for the project.It recently announced the sale of the first three phases of Oasis de Atacama to ContourGlobal, a subsidiary of KKR. These phases represent 23 per cent of the project and were sold for up to $962 million.Earlier in July 2024, Grenergy secured $345 million in green financing for its Oasis de Atacama project, along with additional credit lines provided by a group of international banks including BNP Paribas, Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Societe Generale, The Bank of Nova Scotia, and SMBC.
