Beyond excited to announce the launch of Go Red For Women Venture Fund, a new initiative from the American Heart Associations AHA Ventures Group to support the development of young companies addressing key issues of womens health throughout the life cycle. While not yet actively investing (finishing fund raising, but making great progress! ), our goal is to address the dearth of funding going to key womens health issues that are too often ignored. While its hard enough for those focused on reproductive medicine to get adequate venture financing, there is virtually no flow of money to those targeting the many other key womens health issues that they experience throughout their lives. Companies that can bring superior and relevant womens health products and services to market are the path to make this happen.
