Jackson Grants More Than $750,000 to Lansing, Chicago and Nashville Nonprofits

This year, the Mission is funding an expansion project to increase its service reach by renovating two former office buildings to include dorm rooms, a warming kitchen and cafeteria. Additionally, the renovations will connect the two buildings and provide state-of-the art bathroom and shower facilities to accommodate hundreds of individuals.We are so grateful not only for this generous gift but also for the many volunteer hours filled by faithful Jackson staff and their families, said Mark Criss, Executive Director at City Rescue Mission. This generous contribution will be instrumental in funding the critical infrastructure for our next two single-family homes, specifically designed for a single mother of four with a special-needs child and a Williamson County sanitation engineer. We couldnt achieve our mission without this support.In Chicago, Jacksons grants will support several organizations, including Cara Collective which works to build an inclusive economy by developing employment pathways to advance transformative individual and community success. This gift is an acknowledgment of our shared vision to drive positive change and will help us achieve our goals to expand our reach, deepen our presence in the communities we serve and impact the lives of thousands more job seekers in Chicago and beyond.Jacksons biannual grant program is a critical component of its corporate philanthropy efforts.
