Infineta Systems Closes $15M Series B Funding Round

This latest funding brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $30m. Infineta Systems intends to use the capital to expand its sales, marketing, and engineering teams. In conjunction with the financing, In Sik Rhee, a data center automation veteran, previously co-founder of both Opsware (LoudCloud) and app server middleware pioneer, Kiva Software and today general partner at Rembrandt Venture Partners, has joined the company’s board. Led by co-founder and CEO Raj Kanaya, Infineta Systems develops and markets commercial WAN optimization systems that accelerate inter-data center WANs, which are powered by the proprietary Velocity Dedupe Engine™. The company’s new flagship product, the Infineta Data Mobility Switch, is designed to address the explosion in inter-data center traffic generated by critical applications and accelerate multi-gigabit business continuity/disaster recovery, cross-site virtualization, and Big Data traffic.
