So far in 2024, space startups have raised $7.7 billion in 338 rounds, per Crunchbase data. That already surpasses last years total of $6.4 billion in 442 deals.Just last week, Cedar Park, Texas-based Firefly Aerospace, a space transportation startup, raised a $175 million Series D led by RPM Ventures at a valuation of more than $2 billion.While the total dollar number increased from last year, it is still down from 2021 and 2022, when space startups raised more than $12 billion and $9 billion, respectively.
