Elcogen secures €24.9 million grant from EU Innovation Fund to advance green hydrogen production in Europe

Tallinn, Estonia: Elcogen (the Company), a leading European manufacturer of technology that enables delivery of efficient, affordable green hydrogen and emission-free electricity, is pleased to announce its selection for the European Unions 2024 .The 24.9 million grant will support Elcogens next phase in scaling up its manufacturing capacity of solid oxide electrolyser cell (SOEC) and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) cells and stacks in Estonia to support the energy transition and efficient production of green hydrogen.The Innovation Fund is one of the worlds largest programmes dedicated to supporting innovative low-carbon technologies, selecting 85 projects to award 4.8 billion in 2024. Through the development of clean technologies, these projects aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 476 million tonnes of CO2 over 10 years.Projects were assessed across areas including capital expenditure (CAPEX), scale and focus, and included initiatives in cleantech manufacturing (component manufacturing for renewable energy, energy storage, heat pumps and hydrogen production) and projects focused on deep carbonisation.Enn \xd5unpuu, CEO, Elcogen, said: We are honoured to receive this recognition and support from the European Union.
