StarWind Software Raises $3.25M in Series B VC Round

StarWind Software Inc., a Wakefield, MA-based provider of software-defined storage for Hyper-V environments, raised $3.25m in Series B venture capital financing.In conjunction with the funding, Alexander (Sasha) Galitsky, a general partner at Almaz Capital, will join the StarWind’s board.Led by founders Artem Berman and Anton Kolomyeytsev, StarWind Software provides storage virtualization solutions to customers in over 100 countries.Its flagship iSCSI SAN software solution allows any server to deliver fault-tolerant and highly available storage.According to a written note, with the upcoming release, StarWind SAN will become the first solution running on Windows platform that creates clusters of multiple hypervisor hosts without separate physical shared storage.
