Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Compete Statewide and Step Up during FSEA Delegates Meeting

BUNNELL, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Program recently traveled to Central Florida and participated in the September Delegates meeting hosted by the Florida Sheriff’s Explorers Association. During the 3-day event, FCSO Explorer Sergeant Izzy Stanford applied for the vacant position for Northern Region Vice President on the Explorers Board. Also, during the September Delegates meeting, Explorers competed in the firearms competition where Explorer Charlie Torrens took third place in the Centerfire Tyro (novice) division. “Congratulations to Explorer Stanford on her new role as the Northern Region VP on the FSEA Board, and to Explorer Torrens for placing third in the shooting competition,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. The FCSO Explorers program, Explorers Post 410, was established in 1986 to expose 14- to 18-year-old high school students in Flagler County to a career path in law enforcement.
