Infosys wants to acquire more companies in data analytics, SaaS, says CEO Salil Parekh - CNBC TV18

Infosys has made two acquisitions this year so far, and the CEO of the second-largest IT services company is in no mood to slow down. In an interview with news agency PTI, Salil Parekh said the company was scouting for more acquisitions.From what Parekh shared in the interview, Infosys is scouting for companies in areas such as data analytics, and software as a service (SaaS). "We have done engineering services, we will look at other areas.. for example, data analytics.. may look at SaaS areas, and maybe at some other geographies in Europe, maybe the US as well," he told the news agency.He said the company might look for acquisitions whose size could match the in-tech deal, which came with a price tag of about 450 million euros (around ₹4,045 crore).In January, Infosys announced the acquisition of InSemi Technology Services, an Indian semiconductor design company, for up to ₹280 crore.Three months later, Infosys Germany acquired in-tech Holding, a German engineering R&D services provider.Parekh told PTI the company is evaluating several firms but "a lot depends on strategic synergies, financial cost, cultural fit and integration aspects".
