RegisterPatient.com Raises $4.1M in Series A Funding

RegisterPatient.com, Inc., a Gainesville, FL-based provider of cloud-based tools that allow physicians to engage with their patients, has raised a $4.1m first tranche of its Series A funding. The round was led by Harbert Venture Partners III, L.P., with participation from the Florida Opportunity Fund. The company intends to use the funding, which brings the total amount to date to $5.1m, to expand product development capabilities along with sales, marketing and support infrastructure. In conjunction with the funding, Bob Crutchfield, Venture Partner at Harbert Venture Partners, has joined RegisterPatient’s Board of Directors. Founded by in 2006 David Williams, and led by newly appointed President and CEO Jana Skewes, RegisterPatient.com offers a suite of features including online patient registration, automatic insurance verification, email, text and voice appointment reminders and electronic patient referrals; and a patient portal with features such as patient-to-provider messaging, online appointment requests and prescription refill requests.
