Adapx, a Seattle, WA-based data capture and collaboration company, has secured $3m in additional funding. The company intends to use the capital, which brings total funding to approximately $32m, to accelerate development of new software solutions and entry into new markets. Led by CEO Ken Schneider Adapx provides Capturx, which is used to automate mobile data capture and logistics in activities such as energy field service, delivery of food aid, and health assessments for civilians and soldiers. Capturx automates mobile paperwork by instantly capturing and sending handwritten data on tablets, paper forms, maps or notebooks into leading backend systems, eliminating the costs and delays of paper handling and transcription. The company has also appointed General Peter W. Chiarelli, an expert in modernizing mission command systems, to its board of directors.
