SA Strategic Regional Electric Vehicle Adoption Program
Summary
This involves understanding behavioural barriers to adoption and suggesting interventions, understanding how EVs will be used and where they will likely be charged and investigating how EVs can best integrate with local solar generation and the wider grid in South Australia.The SA Strategic Regional Electric Vehicle Adoption Program project will recruit a large cohort of South Australians through an EV public awareness platform named Charge Together South Australia. Quantitative and behavioural research will be conducted including experimenting with interventions that may accelerate adoption. Monitoring of home energy usage and driving patterns will provide data required to understand real-world behaviours.The outcomes will be an understanding of measures required to stimulate adoption, data required to help plan infrastructure and total cost of ownership tools that demonstrate the benefits of electric vehicles when coupled with solar power and batteries.
