SIRCOMM utlizes new software for accurate caller information

Through the NG911 Clearinghouse, Sircomm is now able to receive fast and accurate caller location data during 9-1-1 calls placed from an iPhone with iOS 12 or from Android phones version 4.0 and up. The communications officer will then “rebid” or “retransmit” the call to have it plot in Phase 2, which is the general location of the device, as provided by the cell phone carrier. RapidLite is a completely free solution available with no commitment to every authorized PSAP nationwide, providing invaluable information to call-takers and dispatchers as they work to send callers appropriate help quickly. “We are thrilled to provide the communications officers for Jerome, Gooding, Lincoln, and Twin Falls Counties with the information they need to get citizens help quickly in an emergency, saving lives and property.” Sircomm is responsible for dispatching fire suppression, law enforcement, and medical services within Jerome, Gooding, Lincoln, and Twin Falls Counties.
