April 2024: Melbourne startup Peeplcoach has raised a further $1.3 million in funding for its coaching platform democratising access to professional development for under-represented groups.The raise was led by a consortium of private investors including Anytime Fitness Co-Founder Jacinta McDonnell, Australian Renewable Energy Agency Chair Justin Punch and One Ventures Director Roger Massey-Green, with LaunchVics Alice Anderson Fund also going in on the round.Launched in 2020 by executive coaching and recruitment entrepreneur Christine Khor, Peeplcoach (An AFR 2022 Fast Starters company) democratises access to leadership development and 1:1 coaching through its SaaS platform.With billions spent globally every year (and often too late) on leadership and development, ineffective leaders and teams are causing losses in the trillions (the latest Australian figures for disengagement and poor leadership are estimated at $34 Billion p.a.
